Meet Shawn Millar

I began my electrical career in 2015 when I joined the Brevard Electrical Apprenticeship Program. While attending school, I spent four years working in residential electrical, gaining hands-on experience and building a strong foundation in the trade. After graduating from the apprenticeship program in 2019, I transitioned into the solar industry and spent two years working for a solar company in Orlando, Florida, where I continued developing my electrical and renewable energy skills. In 2021, I partnered with my brother, Ben Millar, to start and operate our own solar company. We ran the business until 2024, when industry changes, including tariffs and changing tax regulations, made it increasingly difficult to continue. In 2023, I returned to residential electrical work in Melbourne, Florida, bringing with me nearly a decade of experience across residential electrical, solar, business ownership, and project management.
